Hey Josh, I can't help you get a bang ring for your scotch and soda, but I can share with you a way of seperating the gimmick... Put your coin into a thick glass and give it a few shakes, this will usually get it to seperate. Notice I said THICK GLASS, like a beer mug, otherwise the glass will break and injury could result. This is the way gimmicked coins, especially the 11 cent trick, would be seperated back in the 40's (probably even earlier). Just a reminder, THICK GLASS and simple shakes, you don't need to get violent with it. Good luck.
